Project Description
Agribusiness is evolving quickly. Production, processing, logistics and market access are becoming more interconnected. Yet many training systems still focus on isolated skills. This creates a gap. Companies struggle to find profiles able to understand and manage the entire value chain.
AgriVET responds to this challenge by focusing on the development of value chain managers. These are professionals who combine technical knowledge with digital, organisational and market-oriented skills. They can move across different stages of the chain and help businesses improve efficiency and competitiveness. The project works across Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Italy, Poland and Portugal, bringing together different realities that share similar challenges.
Partners collaborate to design training approaches that reflect how agribusiness actually works, connecting education with real production systems and market dynamics. The focus stays practical. Training is built around real needs, not abstract models. This allows learners and professionals to develop skills that can be applied directly in their daily work.
Vision
Stronger value chains depend on people who understand how the system works as a whole. Skills are no longer limited to production. They extend to logistics, market access, digital tools and coordination across actors. AgriVET supports a shift in how vocational training is designed. It brings education closer to business realities and promotes profiles that can connect different stages of the agribusiness process. This creates more adaptive systems, where training evolves together with the sector.
