AgriVET: understanding VET systems to shape the training of tomorrow
As part of the AgriVET research phase, the VET Market and Training Ecosystem Analysis Report has been completed, representing an important project result focused on analysing vocational education and training (VET) systems across the countries involved in the project.
The report provides an overview of the VET market and training ecosystem, with the aim of understanding how existing training systems respond to the needs of the agribusiness sector and its value chains.
The analysis mapped several key aspects of the VET systems across the partner countries, including the main institutions and organisations operating in the field, existing training opportunities, and the characteristics of the current training offer.
Particular attention was also given to current challenges and skills gaps, identifying the main needs that vocational education and training systems must address in order to keep pace with the evolving agri-food sector.
Another key aspect of the report is the capacity of training ecosystems to effectively respond to the needs of the agribusiness sector, supporting the development of the skills required across different value chains.
The findings of this analysis provide a key foundation for the next stages of the AgriVET project. Understanding the current VET landscape makes it possible to identify areas for intervention more precisely and to guide the development of training pathways that are more relevant, effective and aligned with the needs of the sector.
Through this work, AgriVET is taking another step towards strengthening vocational education and training systems so that they can better support the transformation of the agribusiness sector and respond to the skills demanded by the labour market.
